Forum: From Entrepreneur’s Viewpoint to Graduates of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

Mr. Wichien Emprasertsuk

Senior Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.

As an entrepreneur in a private sector organization and alumni of RMUTP, I’ve a chance to work with graduates of RMUTP. I have found that they have outstanding characteristics; they are humble and able to work as a team. In addition, they are determined, patient, and willing to work. They are trustworthy and responsible for assigned tasks.  In aspect of ability, the graduates of RMUTP have good skills for working because they had the opportunity to train with a hands-on curriculum.

From the key features of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, it has emphasized to produce graduates with the   requisite knowledgeskill, and attitudes to practice professionally and ethically.

Undoubtedly, RMUTP graduates are acknowledged by the labour market especially the private sectors. Graduates with high competency are recognized. However, improvement the courses and developing the qualities of graduates need to be continued according to changing situations.

With the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, it will impact on education system, the opening of free-trade and labor mobility. Due to the fact that  AEC brings high competition on skilled labour, RMUTP should prepare students for such changes by improving its curriculum appropriately, conducting the knowledge of regional rules, regulations and agreements, and increasing students’ proficiency in English for communication and careers.

Today, the world has changed rapidly, I wish graduates always learn to update news more in order to cope this changes and can plan to life working or manage a business rightly and I wish graduates will be back to develop their university for sustainable development.
