On June 26th, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Supatra Kosaiyakanont, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, warmly welcomed Dr. Zhonghua Zhao, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, in the Rabhibaddhana meeting room, Office of the President, Thewet campus.
The purposes of the visit were to discuss and negotiate the academic collaboration concerning student exchange. Each year, more than nine million Chinese high-school graduates wish to pursue higher education, but only 40% of them are able to enter the universities. In order to meet the high demand of the Chinese students for studying at the university level, the Chinese government and universities are attempting to build cooperation with foreign academic institutes. The goal is to provide more opportunities for Chinese students wanting to study in a university, and also to offer them the experience of studying-abroad.
Situated in Nanchang city, Jiang Xi province, with 5 campuses, Nanchang University has more than 60,000 students studying in higher education.
