Delegates from Walkato Institute of Technology (Wintec)

On the 15th of February 2018, Assoc. Prof. Supatra Kosaiyakanont, the President of Rajamangala Universit of Technology Phra Nakhon, warmly welcomed delegates from Wakiato Institution of Technology, New Zealand led by Mr. Jason Matangi the International Director of WINTEC, Mr. Girish Nair the International Business Development Director of WINTEC, Ms. Jaruwan Pongjaruwat the Programme Manager and Mr. Nuttapon Watanajarukij the Managing Director or Knowledge Plus Education Services.

WINTEC is one of the top ranking Institution of Technology funded by government and known as public institution in New Zealand and they offer technical, vocational and professional education. They are associated with more than 60 countries including Thailand. And two lecturers from faculty of Science and Technology will soon joint their training with them.

It’s an opportunity for RMUTP to further continue the collaboration with WINTEC since they had done their first collaboration last year on training program called Cyber Security and Cloud Computing security which was successful and now they are planning to work together in the future as well. Today’s meeting is mainly focuses on discussion for more possible way to collaborate such as exchange student programs, visiting lecturer programs and co-research project.

Further, they highlighted more on the programs that can help to improve the academics standard, exchanging the guest lectures and provide the training section for the teacher of RMUTP as its one of an objective to initiate International College by next year.

Finally after long discussion the meeting was concluded with the note that they will be signing the MOU next time through digitally. This academic collaboration between RMUTP and WINTEC is another big step for both institutes to work further seeking more collaboration together in the future.
