Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viroch Imphithuksa, Acting President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon presided over the 5th English Camp on May 16, 2014 at D-Hall Convention, Faculty of Industrial Education. English Camp project is aimed to promote the students’ English efficiency through real life experience in communicating with English native speakers, to raise the campers’ awareness about the importance of the English language, and to offer a learning environment that combines education, recreation and travel in a safe and relaxed setting for both campers and leaders. This activity is a part of being World Class University policy of RMUTP.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viroch said that one of RMUTP missions is to be World Class University to develop the academic excellence. Therefore, RMUTP cooperates with the Association of Thai Professional in America and Canada (ATPAC), the United States of America on holding the 5th English Camp. The past 4 English camps were highly successful and got positive feedback from the students. The numbers of students participating in this activity are increasing every year. The participants’ satisfaction was high. To accomplish the program, RMUTP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ball State University, USA and invited Dr. Kris Rugsaken to be a coordinator providing the Camp Leaders of the English Camp.
