Academic Collaboration

RMUTP signed an MOU with Suvarnnabhumi Institute of Technology and Business School to cooperate on a joint – project for a quota of student admission for the 2011 academic year at Rabibhadana Conference Room in September 2010.

Mr. Piers Fluker from the School of Animation, Shenzhen Polytechnic, China met with RMUTP administrators and visited RMUTP in September 2010.

Dr. Terri Lyn Friel from Roosevelt University, USA met with RMUTP administrators to discuss the prospect of faculty and student exchanges between the two universities and visited the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTP in October 2010.

An administrator from the Dalian Neusoft Institute of Information, China met with RMUTP administrators to discuss future academic collaboration together in November 2010.

Assoc. Prof. Liu Cheng and Mr. Liao  Jinsen from South China University of Technology, China met with RMUTP administrators to discuss future academic collaboration together in December 2010.

The Royal Institute and Institute of Academic Resource and Information Technology , RMUTP were the co-host of a conference entitled “Translation and Interpreting Standardization: Council and Multilingual Data Center for Professionalism” on  September 30, 2010 at the Institute of Academic Resource and Information Technology’s studio which was broadcast via the internet (http://royalin.rmutp.ac.th/translator2010), by  radio (FM 90.75) and PSI Satellite Television.

In September, RMUTP provided academic service to Laos, led by the Assistant to the President, Asst. Prof. Srisak  Noiraipoom, the Director of International Affairs, Mrs. Wandee Anekjumnongporn, lecturer  from the Faculty of Industrial Education, Asst. Prof. Sukumal   Wangvanitchaphan, lecturers from the Faculty of Industrial Textiles and Fashion Design,          Asst. Prof. Charoon   Klaichoi, and Asst. Prof. Kanyuma  Yanwiroj.  They passed on their knowledge of the technology used in the process of Tie-dying and Batik, Pattern Making and Dressmaking, and Modern Production Management to the 22 officers of the Lao Cotton State Enterprise, a business unit under the Lao Women’s Union. This was a successful project that fulfilled RMUTP’s mission, “to be a leading university for diverse careers producing exceptional technological specialists and offering an international value.”
