The Faculty of Home Economics Technology was invited from the Department of Water Resources, Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment and the Secretariat of the Cabinet to create a flower arrangement and dining table decoration for a gala dinner in honor of regional political leaders at the first Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit on 4 April 2010 at Hyatt Regency Hotel,Hua Hin, in Prachuab Khiri Khan province. In this event, the Faculty of Home Economics Technology promoted Thai art and culture by demonstrating Thai fragrance making for the Songkran Festival (Traditional Thai New Year), Thai flower garland weaving, fruit and vegetable carving and Thai food cooking.
