Study and research on the impact of media consumption and violent content in games on adolescent behavior.

Dr. Chanthana Papatthada, a lecturer in the Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, mentioned, As an educator in media creation, games are another form of entertainment popular among people of all ages. In the digital era, games are something that adolescents want to experience. However, the video game content available today is both creative and violent. It contains inappropriate content for children and adolescents. But blocking access to this content online is quite challenging. The content of video games affects intellectual development, learning, emotions, behavior, and expressions of players, both positively and negatively. It depends on emotional states, gaming behaviors, the types of game content chosen, and the fundamental factors of the players. These include parental care, children’s social relationships, as well as the ability to differentiate between game content and real-life situations. If parents do not prioritize this issue enough, it can significantly impact the future quality of life for children.
