Students from Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon showcase innovative jewelry ideas made from plastic waste.

The President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) mentioned that the university is a supportive entity that promotes research and innovation using academic expertise to develop communities and society. This year, faculty members and students presented their research works, inventions, and innovations, including the RMUT Start-up Award, during the national-level academic conference: the 13th National Conference, the 12th International-level Conference, and the 5th RMUT Innovation and Invention Competition under the theme ‘9 RMUT Empowering and Promoting Sustainable Innovation and BCG Model for The Next Normal.’ The event was held at the Eastern RMUTP at Nongnooch Trade & Exhibition Center Hall, Nongnooch Pattaya, Chonburi province. The university received awards for presenting research papers at the national level in the fields of architecture and art. They were honored with two Gold Awards and one Silver Award in the science/health and animal health innovation category, one Gold Award for arts and design innovation, and one Bronze Award for innovation. One of the standout works was a research project titled ‘Plastic Kamphra: Creating Jewelry from Patterned Ceramic-Coated Wires’ conducted by Mr. Mohnphan Inthasaro and Miss Siriwalee Kumboonmas, fourth-year students from the Faculty of Industrial Technology, RMUTP.
