tudents and faculty members from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology and the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) won awards in the 28th Thailand International Culinary Cup (TICC) 2024, held as part of Food & Hospitality Thailand 2024. The competition, which took place from August 21-24, 2024, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, competed for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The event aimed to identify top chefs and provide them with the opportunity to showcase their potential in cooking, ingredient knowledge, plate presentation, and working under time constraints.
The awards received are as follows:
Mr. Sirawit Thongpli, a student from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, won the silver medal in the Western Plating Hot and Cold Dessert Contest: Individual category.
The bronze medal winners include Lecturer Pathumma In-on from the Faculty of Liberal Arts in the Main Course Ducks category, and Mr.Panupon Yaiyong, a student from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, in the Western Plating Hot and Cold Dessert Contest: Individual category.
Ms.Salinthip Phuttachai, a student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, won in the Modern Thai Cuisine Street Food category.
Ms.Waristha Putphuengsap, also a student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, won in the Modern Thai Cuisine Street Food category.
Mr.Pattaek Khongmun, a student from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, received a Diploma in the Western Plating Hot and Cold Dessert Contest: Individual category.
Mr.Rittha Pliamwilai, a student from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, received a Diploma in the Modern Thai Cuisine Contest: Individual category.
Ms.Kannika Khamun, a student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, received a Diploma in the Modern Thai Cuisine category.
Mr.Chotwit Burinok, a student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, received a Diploma in the Main Course Ducks category.
