RMUTP performed a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Phra Maha Thad Srisuwannakiri Pagoda.

President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, led the university’s executives, faculty, and staff in a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Phra Maha Thad Srisuwannakiri Pagoda at Wat Srisuwannakiri, Tambon Nong Nae, Amphoe Phanom Sarakham, Chachoengsao Province. The event took place on November 5, 2023, with participants contributing a total of 1,670,012 Baht toward the construction. Wat Srisuwannakiri, also known as Wat Khao Dong Yang, is a royal temple affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect, established in 2500 B.E. (1957 CE) and officially designated as a temple on December 30, 2531 B.E. (1988 CE). Situated on the slopes of Khao Dong Yang, the temple has an elevation of approximately 100 meters above sea level. It covers an area of approximately 14 rai, 1 ngan, and 76 square wah, with a convenient staircase leading up the hill. At the hilltop, there is a large reclining Buddha statue measuring 19 meters long, built by Phra Ajarn Chuan Panyatharo. The latest initiative involves the construction of the Phra Maha Thad Srisuwannakiri Pagoda, which is currently underway but still requires additional funding. Therefore, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon organized the groundbreaking ceremony to raise funds for the construction of the aforementioned pagoda.
