RMUTP offers classes in self-defense and Muay Thai to Chinese students as part of cultural exchange to learn about Thai culture

“Assistant to the President for Sports Affairs and Alumni Relations, along with the advisor to the Combative Sports Club at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, welcomed 35 professors and students from Kunming University, People’s Republic of China. They visited the Faculty of Industrial Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon from July 2nd to 9th, 2023.

During this exchange, the Chinese students participated in training sessions on self-defense techniques and Muay Thai martial arts. The training included basic Muay Thai techniques, combat arts, and weapon handling using hands, feet, and elbows. These sessions were conducted by professional instructors from the Combative Sports Club at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, who showcased their expertise in Muay Thai. The Chinese students showed great interest and enthusiasm during these activities.

Moreover, the Combative Sports Club at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon regularly offers Muay Thai training sessions open to students and the public. Renowned instructors, such as former Muay Thai champion and Thai University Games gold medalist, Instructor Mongkol Kamsuwan, and his team of professional Thai and international Muay Thai fighters, conduct these training sessions.
