RMUTP collaborates with the National Institute of Metrology to develop metrology programs.

On May 18, 2022, President, participated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the development of metrological systems. The signing took place between the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) and the network of 9 Rajamangala universities at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.
The objective of this collaboration is to integrate the Metrology for Industry curriculum from the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) with the programs offered by all 9 Rajamangala universities. This initiative aims to develop both degree and non-degree programs that align with the targeted industries (S-Curve) of the country, utilizing the RMUT platform. The partnership intends to produce and develop industrial personnel and alumni, in addition to students, while focusing on the creation of expertise and industry-ready graduates.

This agreement was witnessed by Dr. Ajchara Chareonsuk, the Director of the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand), and Assoc. Prof. Sommai Piuasuk, the Chairman of the Board of Rajamangala University of Technology. Moreover, Dr. Nattaworapong Ratchasirivanichbut, RMUTP Vice President for Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Udum Witayachaiyasakul, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and International Relations, RMUTP; Assoc. Prof. Prommuk Ung-arunyawee, Vice President for Academic Affairs, RMUTP; Assoc. Prof. Pichai Jantamano, Vice President for Administration, RMUTP; and Assoc. Prof. Wichai Yazum, Acting Vice President for Student Affairs, RMUT Bangkok, also participated in the signing event.
This memorandum of understanding signifies the commitment to collaborate in the development and establishment of metrological programs in both degree and non-degree formats, serving students, RMUTP personnel, and the general public interested in metrological standards. The cooperation aims to foster joint research activities, technology transfer in metrology to various organizations, and mutual support in enhancing the capabilities of both parties’ personnel.
