RMUTP Hosts Royal Composition Singing Contest to Celebrate Father’s Day 2024

On November 29, 2024, RMUTP, through its Office of Arts and Culture, organized a Royal Composition Singing Contest in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great as part of its Father’s Day 2024 celebration. The event, held at D-Hall, Thewet Center, was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nattachote Rugthaicharoencheep, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development. This event marked the 97th anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol’s birth on December 5, 2024, celebrated as National Day and Father’s Day. It aimed to honor His Majesty’s legacy and musical genius while encouraging students to follow in His footsteps. The contest showcased renditions of His Majesty’s royal compositions, raising awareness of His exceptional contributions to Thai society.
Contest Details and Winners:
The competition featured eight student contestants, judged by an esteemed panel, including:

– Mr.Kamon Thapkallai, music composition expert,
– Mr.Wut Wongsansern, former producer of The Voice Thailand (Season 1-8), and
– Asst. Prof. Dr.Daranee Thanyasiri, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, RMUTP.

Results:
– Winner: Ms.Achariya Jindawong, Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, singing The Impossible Dream (THB 5,000 prize).
– 1st Runner-Up: Mr. Phongsatorn Pharatana, Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, singing Blue Day (THB 3,000 prize).
– 2nd Runner-Up: Ms.Denthida Thawornkul, Faculty of Business Administration, singing Near Dawn (THB 2,000 prize)

Additional consolation prizes of THB 1,000 each were awarded to:
– Ms.Natthathida Phaphon, Faculty of Business Administration,
– Ms.Sathita Jansuwan, Faculty of Business Administration, and
– Ms.Ornalin Klinbua, Faculty of Engineering.

The event celebrated the legacy of His Majesty King Bhumibol while inspiring the younger generation to recognize His contributions to Thai music and culture.
