On November 6, 2024, Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, presided over the opening ceremony of the Breast Cancer Screening Program using a mobile mammogram unit for high-risk and underprivileged women. The program was held in honor of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His 72nd Birthday Anniversary, celebrated on July 28, 2024. The event was attended by Dr. Somyos Deerasamee, Chairman of the Kanchanabaramee Foundation.
This program aimed to honor His Majesty the King on this momentous occasion and to raise awareness about risk factors, symptoms, treatment options, and self-examination techniques for breast cancer. The screening involved the use of mammography to identify individuals at risk. Additionally, donations were accepted to support the Kanchanabaramee Foundation’s ongoing initiatives.
The project received support from medical personnel, nurses, and public health officials from the Kanchanabaramee Foundation, Public Health Service Center 6 of the Woman’s Cultural Club, and public health volunteers who assisted in the breast cancer screening process.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from staff and women in the Dusit, Phra Nakhon, and Pom Prap Sattru Phai districts, who actively joined the screening initiative.
