The Institute of Academic Support and Registration at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) organized a training program on developing and managing curricula based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach from August 26-27, 2024. The event was inaugurated by Ms.Rungrudee Trongtorsak, Director of the Institute of Academic Support and Registration. The objective of the training was to ensure that the university’s curriculum aligns with the 2022 curriculum standards and meets the university’s mission to produce graduates with the potential and skills that meet the demands of the labor market and a high-performance workforce.
The administrators, faculty members, and staff involved in curriculum and quality assurance can apply the knowledge gained from the program to develop curricula and ensure the quality of learning outcomes effectively and with modern relevance. This includes designing curricula focused on learning outcomes (Outcome-Based Education: OBE), techniques for creating Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and techniques for creating Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs).
The event was honored to have Assoc. Prof. Dr.Wichian Chutimasakul, a faculty member from the Faculty of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi; Asst. Prof. Dr.Somchai Hiranworodom, a university consultant on curriculum and educational quality assurance; and Dr.Narisara Nakmaetee, a faculty member from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, as speakers. They provided lectures and practical training on topics such as designing curricula focused on learning outcomes (Outcome-Based Education: OBE), tools and techniques for analyzing the needs of stakeholders, practical exercises in stakeholder needs analysis, techniques for writing learning outcomes, and practical exercises on writing Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs). More than 90 personnel participated in the training program, which took place at The Cavalli Casa Resort in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
