On August 27, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) signed a cooperation agreement with D Metal Co., Ltd. and Plae Plook Pun Community Enterprise Partnership to support safe agriculture. The signing ceremony was led by Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of RMUTP, with the participation of Mr. Thawatchai Kasemsanchai, Managing Director of D Metal Co., Ltd., and Ms. Thikamphon Lau, Managing Director of Plae Plook Pun Community Enterprise Partnership.
Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul stated that RMUTP is focusing on advancing education to align with the needs of modern urban societies in response to urbanization. The university’s development strategy is concentrated in four key areas: Food Innovation, the development of robotics and automation for sustainable smart city management, boosting income through technology and promoting innovation to elevate entrepreneurs, and creating innovations to support an aging society.
The cooperation aims to drive these goals by enhancing education, training, and professional skills. This includes research on Effective Microorganism (EM) water products for safety, which will be conducted by RMUTP’s Faculty of Science and Technology. Additionally, the partnership will work to strengthen safe agricultural practices in Thailand by improving production processes and encouraging both Thai and international entrepreneurs to adopt safe agricultural methods developed by Thai expertise. This collaboration seeks to foster trade, economic growth, and social development, ultimately creating a competitive advantage for Thailand’s public and private sectors. The partnership will also focus on research and development to advance technology and innovation in the agricultural industry, promoting sustainability and enhancing agricultural security in Thailand
