Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) extends its congratulations to the team of students and alumni from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, RMUTP, including Ms.Duangkamol Thongyodkaew, a fourth-year student majoring in Home Economics Business Administration, Mr.Chakraphop Samphatcharoen, Mr.Kathayut Horntaku, and Mr.Suthep Raksa, alumni of the same program. They won the first prize and the Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s Royal Trophy in the orchid arrangement competition at the 17th “Colors of Flora in Honor of Her Majesty the Queen” event, under the theme “Colors of Orchids.” The event was chaired by Mr.Charunthada Karnasuta, Privy Councillor and Chairman of the Queen Sirikit Park Foundation, on August 14, 2024, at the 72nd Anniversary Building Conference Room.
The arrangement, titled “The Love That Binds,” tells a story through the colorful orchid plants and flowers, carefully selected to align with the desired concept. Natural materials were used to create a spiraling design that forms a droplet shape, symbolizing the boundless kindness of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit towards the Thai people. The team wanted to convey love, care, and loyalty to the institution through their work. The project details, from structure to finishing, involved using various parts of the orchid plant, applying techniques learned both in the classroom and through practical experience. The competition served as a learning experience for working with fellow students and alumni, helping to develop skills for future endeavors.
