RMUTP partners with the Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I.) to establish the first innovative agricultural learning center in Thailand.

On March 22, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon and the Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I.) signed a collaboration agreement for the “Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) in Bangkok” project. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, and Mr. Kriengkrai Thiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries, at the F.T.I. headquarters.

This partnership aims to develop a new-model agricultural learning center, focusing on creating and implementing smart agriculture practices. Rajamangala University will contribute personnel, academic knowledge, and innovations, and will collaborate on utilizing academic and social service spaces for agriculture. The project will use industry demand in the area to guide production, incorporating technology and innovation to enhance agricultural outputs and create added economic value.

The initiative is expected to expand and be applied to farmers across the region, particularly to F.T.I.  members in 5 regions, 18 groups of provinces, 76 provincial industrial councils. It will establish mechanisms for cooperation among farmers, industry, government, research institutions, and stakeholders in the production chain to restructure agricultural production towards higher value under the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economy concept, promoting efficiency and sustainability in agricultural businesses.
