The Health, Cosmetic and Anti-Aging Technology, of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon organized an academic service project titled “Creating Unique Fragrances for Cosmetic Products and Food & Beverage Products.” The event took place at the Ratchaphruek Conference Room, Faculty of Science and Technology, North Bangkok Campus, with Dr. Jirasak Tharajak, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, presiding over the opening and welcoming the participants.
Asst.Prof.Dr Woravith Chansuvarn, Head of The Health, Cosmetic and Anti-Aging Technology, of the Faculty of Science and Technology, stated that the academic service project “Creating Unique Fragrances for Cosmetic Products and Food & Beverage Products” aligns with the university’s strategy to serve as a learning center and benefit the community and society. This initiative also aims to introduce RMUTP to the public, government agencies, private sector entities, entrepreneurs, and cosmetic producers. Esteemed experts, Mr. Sontidet Kaewsawat and Mr. Thanakorn Kiattithanakorn from Thai-China Flavours and Fragrances Industry Co., Ltd. shared their knowledge and over 25 years of experience, covering various techniques and exchanging academic and professional insights with participants. These included government and state enterprise personnel, private sector employees, entrepreneurs, community enterprises, students, and scholars.
The workshop covered general knowledge about fragrances and scent profiles, sources of raw materials, and the use of fragrances derived from plants (leaves, bark, fruits) and animals. It also included components of perfume scents, perfume blending, practical scent formulation to match sample scents, and creating personalized fragrances. Additionally, it provided guidelines for developing perfumes in cosmetic products.
“Moreover, The Health, Cosmetic and Anti-Aging Technology, of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon is a newly developed program with a quality curriculum aimed at producing professional practitioners recognized internationally for their expertise in health technology, cosmetic science, and anti-aging. The program strives to develop graduates into researchers, product developers, and innovators in health and cosmetics to meet the demands of both domestic and international job markets and industries. It also aims to equip graduates with modern marketing knowledge and entrepreneurial skills. The program, which started in 2023, runs for 3.5 years.
